Immunizations/TB Screening Policy

Required for all students

Measles, Mumps, Rubella  
All newly enrolled students must provide copies of documentation of two doses of MMR to demonstrate adequate measles, mumps and rubella immunity.


Required for all students living in University Housing

Meningococcal Meningitis
Missouri legislation requires any student living in university housing to either receive the vaccine or provide documentation of previous vaccination against meningococcal meningitis or, after reviewing information, sign a waiver form.

Students may receive the meningococcal meningitis vaccine from the Student Health Center.


Required for all high-risk students

Tuberculosis (TB) Screening
All students in the following risk categories must provide documentation of TB screening performed in the United States within the past 12 months:

  • Lived for 2 months or more in a country with high incidence of TB.
  • Health care worker, or volunteer/employee of a nursing home, prison, or other residential institution.
  • Recent exposure to someone with active tuberculosis disease.

 Required Documentation

Copies of any required health documentation should be sent directly to the Student Health Center at 1020 Hitt Street, Columbia, MO 65201. The failure to do this will result in the inability to register for second semester classes.
