Student ID Cards

New MU students receive their first ID card (Mizzou TigerCard) at no charge. If you have been previously enrolled and received a Mizzou TigerCard (even if you had an attendance hiatus), your most recently issued card will automatically work at the beginning of the semester for which you are enrolled.

The ID Office, located behind Tiger Tech in the lower level of The Mizzou Store in the MU Student Center, produces cards onsite. If you are a student who is also an employee of the University, the designation on your Mizzou TigerCard will reflect only your primary affiliation.

To obtain your Mizzou TigerCard, you must:

  • be enrolled, with classes showing on your myZOU account
  • present your student number
  • present a U.S. government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license, military ID, passport, etc.

A new photo will be taken each time an ID is produced. TigerCards may be issued up to 32 days prior to the start of the semester of enrollment.

You are financially responsible for any charges on your card. If it is lost, or you suspect it may have been stolen, you should immediately deactivate your card. Visit or call the ID Office at (573) 882-1871 to prevent fraudulent charges. If you call the ID Office after regular business hours leave a voice message. Be sure to follow up with the ID Office during regular business hours. Your card will be frozen the following business day. Regardless of how you deactivate your card, you should also authorize The Mizzou Store Fiscal Office at (573) 884-2159 to place a hold on your account, thus preventing fraudulent charges there, too.

There is a $15 charge to your myZou account for each replacement card. If you have an old Mizzou TigerCard, however, it may be possible to reactivate it free of charge. After you have received your replacement Mizzou TigerCard, or had an old one reactivated, you must also contact The Mizzou Store Fiscal Office to have the hold removed.
