Sex-Based Violence

Rape, sexual assault, stalking, sexual exploitation, and dating violence are problems at college and universities throughout the country, and are considered forms of sex or gender discrimination.

At Mizzou, the Office for Civil Rights and Title IX and the RSVP (Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention) Center are committed to working together to create a safe and positive environment for all students regardless of sex, gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation.  If you or someone you know experiences sex-based violence, please contact us to get support and learn more about your options.

Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center

The (RSVP) Relationship and Sexual Violence Prevention Center is a confidential resource on our campus staffed by professional, trauma-informed staff who are here to listen, believe and support survivors of violence. Visit the resources page on the RSVP Center website to learn more about options available to MU community members for advocacy and support.

Office for Civil Rights and Title IX

The Office for Civil Rights and Title IX can help you explore your options, connect you with resources, provide assistance and accommodations, and help you decide if you want to file a formal complaint of discrimination. You do not need to file a formal complaint in order to access resources or receive accommodations.  The Office for Civil Rights and Title IX respects every member of our community’s privacy.
